In the early hours of a Thursday morning in Indianapolis, Indiana, the life of 19-year-old Tavion LaMarr Haynes was tragically cut short. On September 13, 2018, the young Black man was discovered fatally shot in the street on Kenyon Drive. The devastating event marked him as the 116th homicide victim in the city that year, a grim statistic in what was a violent year for the community.
According to his family, Haynes was shot inside a vehicle and then left on the side of the road.
The aspiring rapper was a father to three children. In the wake of his death, family and friends gathered on the same street where he was found, not only to mourn their profound loss but also to plead for justice and answers in a case that was shrouded in mystery. His aunt, Darshay Young, expressed the family's anguish and confusion, stating, 'They killed him. They shot him down. We don't know why… there is no reason.'

Tell,' his aunt implored.
