On May 11, 2024, Willie Lee Biles Jr., a 52-year-old African American male from Indianapolis, Indiana, was fatally shot during an overnight incident on the city's near northeast side. Police officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department responded to reports of gunfire in the area, where they discovered the victim suffering from gunshot wounds.
