On May 11, 2024, 52-year-old Willie Lee Biles Jr. was fatally shot on the near northeast side of Indianapolis. The incident occurred around 12:30 a.m. in the 2900 block of Schofield Avenue, near 30th Street and Keystone Avenue. Responding officers found Biles with critical injuries; he was transported to a local hospital but succumbed to his wounds. The Marion County Coroner's Office later identified him as the deceased.
