Death by Force

Arturo Casimiro III, 50, a Black male, was fatally shot in the early hours of July 11, 2025, on Indianapolis’s near east side after what police described as an altercation inside a home on Brookside Parkway North Drive near East 19th Street. Officers responded around 2:15 a.m. to reports of a person shot and found Casimiro gravely wounded; he was rushed to Eskenazi Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The Marion County Coroner later identified him publicly, confirming his age and name.
