In the early hours of a summer morning in Indianapolis, Indiana, a violent altercation inside a home on the near east side tragically cut short the life of Arturo Casimiro III. A 50-year-old Black male, Casimiro was fatally shot on July 11, 2025. The incident unfolded around 2:15 a.m. at a residence on Brookside Parkway North Drive, near East 19th Street.
When officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department arrived at the scene following reports of a person shot, they found Casimiro gravely wounded. He was rushed to a local hospital where, despite medical efforts, he was pronounced dead.
The scene that confronted investigators spoke to the chaos of the preceding moments. In addition to Casimiro's fatal injuries, another man involved in the dispute suffered a neck injury and was also transported to the hospital.
