On July 25, 2024, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) responded to a death investigation in the 2200 block of West McCarty Street, near Interstate 70 and South Belmont Avenue, on the west side of Indianapolis. The call was received at approximately 12:20 p.m..
Upon arrival, officers found the body of a 29-year-old man, later identified by the Marion County Coroner's Office as Davonte Nix. Nix had suffered a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene. ...Read More
