On July 12, 2024, at approximately 3:36 a.m., Philadelphia Police responded to a shooting incident on the 3100 block of Kensington Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered 31-year-old Jean Carlos Ortiz-Collazo suffering from a gunshot wound to the neck. He was immediately transported to Temple University Hospital in critical condition. Despite the medical team's efforts, Ortiz-Collazo succumbed to his injuries on July 23, 2024.
