In the Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia, a violent encounter on July 12, 2024, claimed the life of 31-year-old Jean Carlos Ortiz-Collazo. On that day, police responded to a report of a shooting on the 3100 block of Kensington Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered Ortiz-Collazo suffering from a gunshot wound to his neck.
