In the pre-dawn hours of May 14, 2025, a burst of gunfire shattered the quiet of a Kensington street, leaving a 42-year-old man from Norristown dead. Shawn D. Baskins, a White male, was found by Philadelphia Police inside a pickup truck on the 100 block of West Cambria Street at approximately 3:55 a.m., suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to Temple University Hospital but succumbed to his injuries shortly after arriving.
