In the South Philadelphia neighborhood on a Wednesday evening, the life of a young man was tragically cut short. On June 26, 2024, Saadiq Abdul-Aziz, a 21-year-old male, was shot in the chest near the corner of South 23rd and Jackson streets. The incident occurred shortly after 8:30 p.m., a time when the city was still alive with the sounds of early summer.
