On December 6, 2023, at approximately 5:00 p.m., a tragic shooting occurred inside the Nuevo Amanecer corner store located on the 2900 block of North Hancock Street in Philadelphia. The incident resulted in the death of 34-year-old Luimi José Nuñez German, known affectionately as "Luisito," and left two others critically injured.
