Tyjon Johns, a 24-year-old man from Philadelphia, PA, was tragically shot and killed on July 6, 2022, near his home in East Germantown. Police found Johns on the sidewalk on the 900 block of Locust Avenue, where he was reportedly bleeding and unresponsive. He was pronounced dead at Albert Einstein Medical Center around midnight. Investigators discovered at least 10 spent shell casings near the scene, indicating that the shooter was standing very close to Johns when the shots were fired.
