On July 23, 2023, 16-year-old Adan Morales-Alvarado was fatally shot in Kansas City, Missouri. The incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. in the 3700 block of East 8th Street, where officers found Morales-Alvarado unresponsive on a sidewalk with multiple gunshot wounds; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
