On the early morning of July 17, 2020, violence erupted in the streets of Kansas City, Missouri, claiming the life of a young teenager. Upon their arrival, first responders discovered 15-year-old male MarQuice J. Amos suffering from gunshot wounds.
The critical situation necessitated immediate medical attention, and he was rushed to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment.
Despite the efforts of medical personnel, the young man succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital. MarQuice was remembered by his community and loved ones as a passionate basketball player who was preparing to enter his junior year at the Ewing Marion Kauffman School.
