On the early morning of July 17, 2020, violence erupted in the streets of Kansas City, Missouri, claiming the life of a young teenager. Shortly after 1:00 a.m., police officers were dispatched to the area near East 60th Street and Forest Avenue following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, first responders discovered 15-year-old male MarQuice J. Amos suffering from gunshot wounds.
