In the winter of 1973, the life of a 32-year-old Jewish man from Philadelphia, Joe Borish, was violently cut short in what is believed to be a brutal act of organized crime. On January 1st of that year, Borish was shot and killed inside his home. His death is noted in timelines of gang activity from that era as a murder carried out by the notorious 'Philly Black Mafia.'
