Maurice Riley, a 26-year-old man from Philadelphia, PA, was tragically murdered on January 11, 2017. He was shot multiple times in the back and torso while working on a car in the 7800 block of Baldwin Street in the Mt. Airy section of Philadelphia. Witnesses reported that a man dressed in all black approached Riley and fired at him from point-blank range before fleeing the scene.
Despite being rushed to Albert Einstein Medical Center, Maurice did not survive his injuries.

On September 21, 2022, Ernest Pressley was sentenced to federal prison for the murder of Maurice Riley, bringing some measure of justice and closure to Maurice's family.
