On February 12, 2024, at approximately 11:40 a.m., Philadelphia police responded to reports of a shooting on the 2400 block of North 26th Street, near West Hagert Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered 76-year-old Clerger Exilhomme lying on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound to his head. Medics pronounced him dead at the scene shortly thereafter. The location of the incident was notably close to a day care center, though no additional injuries were reported.
