Nazir Carter, a 22-year-old Black male, was fatally shot on the evening of Thursday, October 14, 2021, in the Hunting Park neighborhood of Philadelphia. The incident unfolded around 8:30 p.m. on the 1400 block of West Lycoming Street, where authorities responded to a report of a person with a gun.
Upon their arrival, police discovered two victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Carter was one of the two individuals shot in what was reported as a double shooting.
