On a Sunday morning, November 5, 1989, the quiet grounds of the Santa Clara Cemetery in Albuquerque, New Mexico, became the scene of a grim discovery. Deputies from the Bernalillo County Sheriff's Office were called to 617 Foothill Dr. SW, where they found the body of 34-year-old John H. Salas. An investigation into the death of the male victim quickly determined that he had not died of natural causes.
