In the early morning hours of Friday, July 12, 2024, the life of 26-year-old Monu Verma was tragically cut short in a fatal shooting in Philadelphia. An Asian male, Verma was originally from Pittsburgh, PA, residing on Kennett Square. At approximately 4:23 a.m., Philadelphia Police officers were dispatched to the West Philadelphia neighborhood after reports of
gunfire. Upon their arrival, they discovered Monu Verma lying face-down in the street. Emergency medical services were called to the scene, and medics from the Philadelphia Fire Department pronounced him deceased from his injuries.
