On December 15, 2016, Raheem Hammond, aged 35, was shot and killed in Charlotte, North Carolina. The incident occurred early in the morning when police responded to a call about an assault on Eddleman Road. Hammond was found with gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. Two men, Dequillar Moore and Justin Hood, were arrested and charged with murder in connection to the shooting. The investigation indicated that Moore and Hood were involved in the fatal event earlier that morning.
