Tyshiem Chaney, a 17-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on March 27, 2017, in Southwest Philadelphia. He was found on the front steps of a home on the 5900 block of Larchwood Avenue, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his chest. Despite immediate medical attention and being rushed to Penn Presbyterian Hospital, he was pronounced dead shortly before midnight.
