On July 11, 2024, at approximately 2:32 a.m., Philadelphia police responded to a report of a shooting on the 1200 block of West Cumberland Street in North Philadelphia. Upon arrival, officers discovered 30-year-old Jasimane Ransom with a gunshot wound to the head. She was immediately transported to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 2:42 a.m.
