On November 23, 2024, 33-year-old Jerelle "Relle" Bey, a Philadelphia-based R&B singer-songwriter, was fatally shot in Southwest Philadelphia. He was discovered with a gunshot wound to the chest and transported to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
