In the early morning hours of May 8, 2026, the life of 31-year-old Tamir Hill was tragically cut short in a burst of gunfire in North Philadelphia. Hill, along with two 26-year-old men, were sitting on the front steps of a Philadelphia Housing Authority property on the 2500 block of West Berks Street when the shooting occurred at approximately 2:30 a.m. The sudden violence shattered the pre-dawn quiet, leaving a scene of chaos and tragedy.
