Death by Force

John Harvey 'Johnny G' Gallaher, a country-and-western disc jockey for radio station WXGI-AM in Richmond, Virginia, met a tragic end on September 14, 1979. Gallaher, who was also a bass guitarist, was performing with his band at a South Richmond nightclub on the night of his death. During a break between sets, he stepped outside for a smoke, inadvertently crossing paths with the notorious Briley gang.
