Rodney Freddrick Pocceschi, a 33-year-old police officer from Virginia Beach, Virginia, tragically lost his life in the line of duty on June 23, 2003. Pocceschi, originally from Pennsylvania, had joined the Virginia Beach Police Department in 1999 and was a member of the Special Operations Selective Enforcement Unit.
