The situation escalated when Christina Wang allegedly confronted him in his home. An argument, reportedly fueled by jealousy over his use of a dating app, turned physical when she slapped him. When Calvin Wang asked her to leave, she instead produced a handgun and shot him first in the stomach, and then in the head.
For two days, Calvin Wang's absence went unnoticed until a concerned coworker, unable to reach him, went to his residence. There, the coworker encountered Christina Wang, who reportedly confessed to the shooting and expressed a desire to turn herself in.
