In the quiet of a Virginia Beach evening on December 2, 2016, the life of Zacarias Aguilar-Ayala, a 34-year-old man, was tragically cut short in a senseless act of violence. Aguilar-Ayala was discovered inside his truck in the 1300 block of Hawk Avenue, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. The call came into the Virginia Beach Police Department at approximately 7:41 p.m., and upon their arrival, he was pronounced deceased at the scene.
