Ryan Keith Cox, aged 50, tragically lost his life on May 31, 2019, during a mass shooting at the Virginia Beach Municipal Center. Cox, an accounting clerk for the city of Virginia Beach, was one of twelve victims killed when a city employee opened fire in the building. The shooter, DeWayne Craddock, had been employed by the city for approximately 15 years and had resigned from his position earlier that day.
