Eldon A. Valery Sr., a 59-year-old resident of Virginia Beach, was fatally shot on October 7, 2023, at the intersection of Indian River Road and Lynnhaven Parkway. The incident occurred at 9:14 p.m. when police responded to reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers found Valery with a life-threatening gunshot wound to his upper body and immediately began administering lifesaving efforts.
