In the winter of 2012, the life of Everette Antonio Harrison, a 48-year-old Black male known affectionately to friends and family as 'Cooney' or 'RadioMan,' was tragically cut short on the streets of Newport News, Virginia. On the afternoon of December 11, Harrison was at a store in the city when he was fatally wounded in a drive-by shooting. Medics arrived at the scene, but his injuries were too severe, and he was pronounced dead at 2:47 p.m.
