On an autumn evening in Newport News, Virginia, the life of 25-year-old Devoris Thomas Dickerson was tragically cut short. On October 30, 2012, Dickerson, a male known affectionately as 'VoVo' to his friends and family, was fatally shot. A graduate of Heritage High School, he was a father to a daughter and a son. Remembered as a great father and a hardworking individual who would give the shirt off his back, his sudden death left a void in the lives of his loved ones.
