On March 9, 2023, at approximately 10:07 p.m., Newport News Police responded to reports of gunshots in the 800 block of Roam Court, near the Westover Station Apartments. Upon arrival, officers discovered two 18-year-old males, identified as Damari Hall and Alijah Demonte Gilliam, both of Newport News, suffering from gunshot wounds.
