In the summer of 2017, the life of 26-year-old Michael Stanley was tragically cut short in a violent encounter inside a Newport News, Virginia, apartment. A male, Stanley was found with a fatal gunshot wound on the afternoon of July 18th in a residence located in the 600 block of 18th Street. The discovery was made by police officers who were responding to a call to check on his welfare.
