Rahymachel Martinez Baro, a 19-year-old resident of Newport News, Virginia, tragically lost his life on August 7, 2021. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning, around 1:45 a.m., when police were called to the 500 block of Purlieu Drive following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers found Baro outside an apartment complex, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
