In the late hours of a Tuesday night in August 2014, the life of 28-year-old Angel Luis Alicea III was tragically cut short on the streets of Newport News, Virginia. On August 5th, at the intersection of Crutchfield Drive and Ruston Drive in the Denbigh section of the city, Alicea was shot multiple times. Witnesses in the area reported hearing as many as a dozen gunshots, shattering the quiet of the evening and leaving a young man fatally wounded.
