On August 5, 2014, 28-year-old Angel Luis Alicea III was fatally shot at the intersection of Crutchfield Drive and Ruston Drive in Newport News, Virginia. According to his grandmother, Linda Nelson, Alicea was returning home and was close to his destination when the incident occurred.
