In the early evening of March 19, 2015, a burst of gunfire shattered the quiet of a Newport News apartment complex, leaving two young men dead and a community searching for answers. The lives of 23-year-old Jeremy Taylor and 26-year-old Adrian Holiday were cut short in the parking lot of the Reserve at Deer Run Apartments.
