James Gerard White, a 32-year-old resident of Hampton, Virginia, tragically lost his life on August 21, 2016, in a fatal shooting incident in Newport News. White was at the Warwick Village Apartments on Nelson Drive when the incident occurred. The shooting also left a 27-year-old woman, Rebecca Damron, with serious injuries. The suspect, Lonnell Deandre Lilly III, entered the apartment and an argument ensued, leading to the shooting.
