James Wesley Dix, a 57-year-old resident of Newport News, Virginia, tragically lost his life on July 9, 2012. Known affectionately as "Jimmy" and "DJ Zoom," James was a beloved figure in his community, celebrated for his passion for music and cooking. He served in the United States Army for 17 years before returning to Virginia, where he worked as the Head Chef at Hampton University. On the morning of his death, James was on his way to work when he was fatally shot at a bus stop on 26th Street.
