In the late afternoon of June 2, 2020, tragedy struck at an apartment complex in Newport News, Virginia, claiming the life of 20-year-old Traveon Kamarri Holland. A Black/African American male, Holland was at a residence in the 500 block of Woodall Court when gunfire erupted just after 4:30 p.m. The incident resulted in a chaotic scene, with three men suffering from gunshot wounds.
