Amari Sutton, a 16-year-old African American male, was fatally shot on April 23, 2015, in Chicago, Illinois. He was discovered around 6 p.m. on the 1400 block of East 73rd Street in the South Shore neighborhood—the same block where he resided—with gunshot wounds to the chest and neck. The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office pronounced him dead at the scene.
