On October 21, 2023, at approximately 3:40 a.m., Newport News Police Department officers responded to reports of gunshots in the 13200 block of Aqueduct Drive. Upon arrival, they discovered 30-year-old Reco Antonio Trevon Brown of Hampton, Virginia, suffering from a gunshot wound. Brown was transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter.
