In the early morning hours of July 5, 2022, a devastating act of violence cut short the life of 34-year-old Dominic Lamar Thompson Sr. in Newport News, Virginia. Thompson, a man remembered for his love of laughter and devotion to his three children, was fatally shot during a robbery at a gas station on J. Clyde Morris Boulevard. call, Newport News police officers arrived at the scene to find Thompson on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, but tragically succumbed to his injuries.
