Loren Javell Ransome, a 49-year-old co-owner of Jackpot Hookah, tragically lost his life on October 5, 2021, in Newport News, Virginia. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning when Newport News Police responded to a call at the 15300 block of Warwick Boulevard. Upon arrival, officers found Ransome suffering from gunshot wounds and he was pronounced dead at the scene. Ransome was well-regarded in his community, known for his efforts to uplift those around him.
