On a cold January evening in 2013, the life of 24-year-old Ajene Tylik Marrow was tragically cut short in Newport News, Virginia. On Sunday, January 20th, at approximately 10:38 p.m., police responded to reports of a shooting at the Americana East Mobile Home Park. There, in the 200 block of Maple Court, they found Marrow suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper left chest. He was rushed to a local hospital but succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at 11:13 p.m.
