In the early evening of March 23, 2021, the body of a young man was discovered alongside Interstate 20 in Lexington County, South Carolina. The deceased was identified as 21-year-old Torrian Bryant Oree, a Black male from the nearby town of Edgefield. An autopsy would later confirm that Oree had been shot multiple times.
