In the spring of 2014, a dispute between neighbors in the Red Bank area of Lexington County, South Carolina, escalated to a fatal encounter, ending the life of 42-year-old Bobby Lee Christofoli. On the evening of April 2, 2014, Christofoli was shot and killed following a heated argument with his neighbor. The male victim was found lying on Cheryse Drive, a rural dirt road.
