In the early evening of a Tuesday in Norfolk, Virginia, a burst of violence shattered the autumn calm. On October 26, 2021, just before 7:00 p.m., police responded to a report of a gunshot victim on Granby Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered a man suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. The man, identified as 48-year-old Abdul Shaahid Azauin Muhammhad, a male resident of Norfolk, was rushed to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
