On a Tuesday night in Norfolk, Virginia, on July 19, 2022, a dispute turned deadly, claiming the life of 37-year-old Sidney Norman Parker. The incident unfolded shortly before 10:30 p.m. in the 3500 block of Mangrove Drive, where an altercation erupted between Parker and another man, Rhodean Harolquan Rhodes-Hamlin. The disagreement began when Parker reportedly saw Rhodes-Hamlin push his girlfriend and intervened by pushing Rhodes-Hamlin.
