On August 13, 2024, at approximately 12:50 a.m., Reading Police Department officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 200 block of Maple Street in Southeast Reading, Pennsylvania. Upon arrival, they discovered 27-year-old Darius Henson Francis, known affectionately as "Di Kartel," suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Francis was immediately transported to Reading Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
