In the early morning hours of August 13, 2024, the life of 27-year-old Darius Henson Francis, a Black / African American male known affectionately as 'Di Kartel,' was tragically cut short. At approximately 12:50 a.m., Reading Police Department officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Maple Street in Southeast Reading, Pennsylvania, following reports of a shooting.
