In the spring of 2017, the community of Louisville, Kentucky, was shaken by the untimely death of Lamont Ray Pillows, a 42-year-old Black male known affectionately as 'Ray Ray.' On the night of April 29th, Pillows was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in the Limerick neighborhood, specifically in the 1100 block of South 8th Street near West St. Catherine Street.
