On a summer evening in Lexington, Kentucky, the life of 40-year-old Tyrece Clark, a Black male, was cut short by gunfire. The fatal encounter unfolded on July 23, 2017, at the Day's Motel on Versailles Road. Police responded to the scene around 9:18 p.m. and found Clark with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to the University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries just after 11 p.m. that same night.
